OLYMPIC GAMES COMMIT TO RUGBY 7S PAST TOKYO 2020

Rugby sevens and the 27 other sports that featured at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games have been retained as part of the Paris 2024 programme.

Sevens made its spectacular debut at the Games last summer, with Great Britain's men's side walking away with a valiant silver medal with Fiji claiming gold.

In fact, six different nations accrued the six different medals, with this the most socially engaged rugby sevens event of all time, propelling the total fan base beyond 300 million.

Now the sport has a chance improve on those already heady figures after the decision was made to retain it for the 2024 Games, recently confirmed as coming to Paris.
